KITEEZI LANDSLIDES ON 12-08-24
The Kiteezi Saga in Uganda is one that no eye would want to see ever again. Life lost in microseconds as a meaningless piece of paper. It is very sad. Amidst this, our hearts were with them, we were deeply saddened by the devastating landslide that affected their lives, causing loss and destruction.
Our team of volunteers worked tirelessly to reach out to the affected families to help them rebuild.
Elderly out reach (Kakiri- Wakiso)
Our team of humanitarian was blessed to visit the areas of kakiri in Wakiso District on 14-May- 24 where we met multitudes of grey – haired mpothers and fathers of this nation living in heart breaking conditions! Many of them couldn’t afford basic life essential resources as decent shelter, nutritious meals, clothes, medical services among others BUT with hope of kind people like you, we were able to reach out with our limited aid, although due to their huge numbers, we couldn’t do so much. Therefore, if sharing and caring is your calling, we invite you to be part of us as we revive their wrecking lives and install fresh hopes in them.
Nansana- Naluvule Elderly out reach 16-03-24
On 16th March, Brainspire volunteers Africa visited the areas of Nansana in the village known as Naluvule with a mission to bring joy and relief to the elderly individuals. The team conducted Door – Door visits in which we donated various items like posho, rice, sugar ,soap to mention but a few. However, the team was overwhelmed by the number of elderies who were gathering to have a toss on the items after recognising the presence of the team giving out relief items as mentioned above. We are to make a re-visit such that we touch on more souls, therefore we are calling upon more kind hearted people like you to join us to make all these plans a realty.
Reaching Out to the Elderly at Kakooge(Wakiso District): A Labor of Love
On August 25, 2024, BrainSpire Volunteers Africa embarked on a mission to bring joy and relief to the elderly in Wakiso. Despite initial plans to support 80 elderly individuals, our team was met with a heartwarming surprise – over 200 seniors gathered, eager for connection and support.
Our dedicated volunteers and well-wishers worked tirelessly to mobilize resources, purchasing essential items like maize flour, rice, sugar, bread, soap, and tea leaves. As we navigated unexpected challenges, including rain and vehicle breakdowns, our team’s resilience and commitment shone through.
To ensure every elderly person received support, we creatively adjusted our distribution plan, dividing hampers to cater to the increased number. This selfless act embodied the spirit of kindness and compassion that drives our organization.
Beyond providing material support, our team offered medical counselling, guidance on healthy eating, and exercise. We took the time to interview each senior, collecting valuable data to inform future support initiatives. This personal connection has enabled us to maintain relationships, providing ongoing support and care.
As we reflect on this unforgettable experience, we’re reminded that kindness can bridge gaps and transform lives. We invite you to join us on this journey, supporting our mission to spread love, care, and compassion to those who need it most.
